I hope this letter finds you well. As an early adopter and a tech enthusiast, I’ve been closely following the evolution of smart glasses. Recently, I had the pleasure of trying out your Ray-Ban Stories during a trip to Alaska aboard the Royal Princess Cruise. While the experience was intriguing, I encountered a few challenges that prompted me to explore other options.

  1. Image Transfer Struggles:

    • The Ray-Ban Stories captured some incredible moments during my Alaskan adventure. However, transferring images from the glasses to my phone proved cumbersome.
    • As I continued to take more photos, the process became increasingly frustrating. It reminded me of the days when we used to wind film rolls in our old analog cameras, hoping the memories would develop beautifully.
  2. Overheating Quandary:

    • Picture this: I’m standing atop an icy glacier at a dog sled camp, capturing video of an exhilarating Iditarod excursion.
    • Suddenly, the app displays an “Overheating” warning. But wait, we’re on a glacier—how can it overheat? It felt like a glitch from a retro sci-fi movie, where technology had its quirks. Perhaps the glasses were channeling their inner HAL 9000.
  3. Feature Request:

    • As someone who supported Meta even during the Facebook days, I’m keen on the potential of smart glasses.
    • The ability to prompt AI with the phrase “Hey Meta, tell me what I’m looking at” would be a game-changer. Imagine exploring historic districts and learning about their past with a simple command. It’s like stepping back into the days when curiosity fueled our adventures, much like Marty McFly discovering the DeLorean’s time-travel capabilities.

I appreciate the strides you’ve made, but I’m also curious about the Ray-Ban Meta. Can it address these pain points? I want to continue supporting your journey, but practical functionality matters too.
